The Albanian national football side has won 2-0 against Lichtenstein in a match played on Thursday evening for the qualifying matches of Russia 2018 World Cup. The red and blacks coached by Gianni De Biasi made the most of this match, contuining a good start of this edition after a 2-1 victory against FYROM a month ago in Shkoder.

The match was played in Rheinpark Stadion and the Albanian team made a good start with a goal on the 11th minute by Jahmir Hyka.

The Albanian national side, which had a more offensive formation on the field, dominated the first half, creating other goal scoring opportunities. The second half too was the same, where the red and blacks controlled the game.

On the 71st minute, Albania scored the goal which sealed the fate of the game. The goal was scored by Bekim Balaj after “fighting” with the goalkeeper.

With this victory, Albania has 6 points in Group G and currently it holds the first place, leaving behind Spain and Italy, which have 4 points each. Both teams played each other on Thursday evening in Turin, ending the match 1-1.
