Dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade must never rely on ultimatums, the European Union declared today.

EU officials declared this following the conditions that were declared yesterday by Kosovo, among which is the obligation that Serbia has to recognize Kosovo before becoming an EU member.

The spokeswoman of the EU chief of diplomacy, Maja Kocijancic said that the European Commission has not been informed on this document.

“The two sides have agreed on what to focus during the talks. The stance of the European Union is clear: the agreements reached by both sides in the talks between Belgrade and Pristina must be implemented. This is dialogue and nothing more”, she said.

Kocijancic said that the EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini will have a telephone conversation with the Serb PM, Aleksandar Vucic on the new developments between Kosovo and Serbia. She said that the EU expects dialogue to continue. /balkaneu.com/
