Cypriot and Egyptian Presidents discuss Cyprus problem and bilateral relations
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi discussed during a long telephone conversation on Tuesday the Cyprus problem, regional developments and bilateral relations with an emphasis on the field of energy, a written statement by Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides issued here today says.

According to a Presidency press release,  in his written statement Christodoulides notes that during the call the two heads of state "exchanged views on regional developments and agreed of the need to undertake joint action."

They also had "a thorough discussion on developments in the Cyprus issue and the relevant processes at (UN) Security Council level," he adds./IBNA
