The European Commission has published the new progress report for EU associate member countries.
According to the Progress Report published by the European Commission, for the eighth time in a row, FYROM is issued a conditional recommendation for accession.
The conditions relate to the holding of free and fair elections on 11 December and for them to be credible for the international community.
“The political crisis in Macedonia continues to be unsolved”. This was declared by the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn during the presentation of the Progress Report. Hahn said that he has spent a great deal of time following the developments and political situation in FYROM. According to Hahn, the early parliamentary elections will be a very good opportunity to show that the country is committed. Hahn is expecting from political leaders to hold credible elections, support the work of the Special Prosecution and implement priority reforms. /balkaneu.com/
