Greek Tourism ministry aims at securing 'sustainable tourism development'

"We are working for sustainable tourism development and even higher tourist performance in 2018 and in the years to come", the General Secretary of Tourist Policy and Development, Giorgos Tziallas said at the Economist's conference in Loutraki, that focused on "Governance and Regional Arteries for Growth".

Greece, he said, meets all the conditions for the dynamic development of thematic tourism. He pointed out that the ministry is creating a clear and functional legislative framework, and paves the way for individuals to become involved in the development of thematic tourist products and services.

"Tourism will continue to support growth in the country. The government and the ministry will continue to work towards our goals of a sustainable, balanced and fair tourism development, and for even higher performances of all sizes in 2018 and in the coming years", Tziallas concluded.... / IBNA
