The EU has given its consensus for the free visa regime for Georgian citizens in the Schengen area. Kosovo will be able to benefit from such regime once it ratifies the demarcation agreement with Montenegro.

The agreement between EU and Georgia for the liberalization of the visa regime, is part of the plans to expand the Schengen area and citizens of Kosovo, Ukraine and Turkey are soon expected to benefit from this regime.

However, EU ambassadors say that Kosovo must boost its fight against organized crime and pass the demarcation agreement with Montenegro, in order for its citizens to benefit free movement in the Schengen area. /balkaneu.com/
