Kosovo demands from Serbia not to prevent the issue regarding missing people
President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has met today with the head of the Government Commission for Missing People, Prenk Gjetaj.

During this meeting, the two officials talked about the commitment to close the chapter concerning missing people and the next steps that must be taken.

“The issue of missing people is a humanitarian issue and Serb politicians must be a part of its solution and not an obstacle”, said president Thaci.

On the other hand, the head of the Commission for Missing People, Prenk Gjetaj, briefed president Thaci on the work of the commission and on the main obstacles that this process is encountering.

President Thaci said that he remains committed for this issue to be finalized as soon as possible, as it still causes pain for many people.

The number of people still missing from the last war in Kosovo is 1650 and although there have been a number of meetings between representatives of Kosovo and representatives of Serbia, with the brokerage of International Red Cross, there have not been significant results. /balkaneu.com/
