More than 1,000 undocumented persons busted in Turkey over the last 48hrs

Afghans, Pakistanis, Yemenis and above all, Syrians. Turkey has not stopped finding and arresting undocumented migrants and refugees who attempt to cross to Turkey -and then reach Europe- illegally.

The daily report by the Turkish General Staff speaks of over 1,200 undocumented migrants only over the past two days, while, more specifically, "border guards arrested 930 people when they attempted to enter Turkey from the Syrian border", Anadolu reads.

Thanks to a tip-off, police got 200 people on the Agri-Erzurum road, 57 more migrants tried to illegally cross into Greece but were caught whereas, a Yemeni and 42 Syrians were discovered on an dinghy near Bodrum (opposite of which is the Greek island of Kos) "separately on Tuesday, coast guards held 43 foreign nationals in southern Mugla province.".../IBNA
