Nikola Ivanovski has been elected new Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court and his mandate is 3 years. There’s no information as to who has proposed Ivanovski, who received the majority of the votes of the members of the Constitutional Court.

Ivanovski replaces in this post Elena Gosheva. Some media say that the new chief justice is Gosheva’s trusted man. Gosheva has been accused by the opposition as a judge who has been influenced by the party in power, VMRO-DPMNE. The Constitutional Court is expected to decide on the constitutionality of the Special Prosecution. /balkaneu.com/
