Romamap, a window where the Roma people can denounce discrimination
Romamap is the sixth project of the association for the protection of human rights, through which the Roma community can denounce cases of the violation of human rights and their discrimination.

Uranija Piroska of the Helsinki Community in Skopje said that through their web page and other forms, all members of the Roma community whose rights are violated, must denounce these cases.

“The Roma community must denounce cases where their human rights are violated. Unable to complain about their human rights to competent institutions, they address to NGOs.  This project will enable us to know what are some of the violations that take place when it comes to the Roma community”, Piroska said.

According to Zekir Abdulov of the NGO KHAM, during this year there have been 16 cases of violation of human rights among members of the Roma community.

According to him, this community is facing a treatment which is not equal to the one that other minorities in FYROM receive.

Meanwhile, this project is supported by the German embassy. /balkaneu.com/
