In the absence of production capacities, Kosovo continues to export money abroad in exchange of goods.
According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, in September of this year alone, Kosovo has imported foreign goods at a value of 232.6 million euros, while exporting only 21.6 million euros worth of goods.
This is the trade deficit, which in the month of September has marked an increase of only 2.2% compared to the same period a year ago.
Serbia has mostly benefited from this increase in imports. The neighboring countries is Kosovo’s largest exporter with 15.2%. Last month, Serbia’s exports to Kosovo occupied 14.8% of total exports, 0.4% more than in September. /balkaneu.com/
